Winter disc golf in the Southern Willamette Valley. The 13th Oregon Liquid Environment series is run by Tom Embree (541)461-9596. The 2005/06 OLE series consists of 8 one day Saturday tournaments at local Lane/Linn County Parks. Tournament locations are within a 15-40 minute drive of downtown Eugene. The original series locations of Baker Bay, Dexter, Bristow, Lynx Hollow, Amitage, and Orchard Point will be used again this year. Two new locations in Linn/Benton Counties will be used for the first time. They are Waterloo Park near Sweet Home, and Simpson Park (changed to North Park) in Albany. This year the first tournament in the series will be at Baker Bay on Doreena Reservoir. All tournament locations are set up the day of the tournament with portable baskets and tee markers. If there's enough daylight left and not much rain, you can usually play an optional round of random doubles after the regular OLE rounds are finished. Bring your cleats, rain gear, and warm coffee because the weather varies from warm and sunny to icy and rainy. We play rain or shine!
Format changes depending on course, usually at least 36 holes are played on either 9 or 12 (18 at Dexter) hole layouts. CTP prizes are given away at each tourney and if no aces are hit the acepot gets progressively bigger throughout the series.
